Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Sue Gallo and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher! I have been teaching over 30 years for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. At the start of my career I taught 1st grade for 8 years. Then I joined the staff here at St. Greg's and taught 5th grade and finally moved to 6th grade. In addition to being the homeroom teacher for 6th grade, I also am the literature teacher for 5th-8th grades. During the year that your children will be in my room, I want them to experience many things: the love of Jesus, the joy of service to others, the strength in growing as a community, humor in the classroom, and the love of reading. I love this quote from the author C.S. Lewis, “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” Many children have struggles with reading at the start of their scholastic years and don’t like to read. It is my hope that through experiencing various literature genres and discovering what they truly enjoy at their level, that each student will find a new love for the written word.

In my free time I of course love to read, garden, bird watching, go camping and spending time with my family.
